The Daughters of Charity have been educating children at the Saint Vincent de Paul Preschool in Ruzo, Burundi since 1998. In the region illiteracy is high and there is a lack of adequate educational facilities for the large population. Because of the Sister’s work, more than 200 children, ages 3 to 6 years old, receive a quality education based on Christian values each year and receive nourishing porridge to decrease the rates of malnutrition. This project will supply funds so the Sisters can continue providing a quality education and nutrition to the children for another school year.
